Studied as stonemason and then ca. 1919 studied at Art School in Stuttgart, Germany under Alfred Lörcher. 1922/23 travelled to Italy. 1926 assistant to the Sculptor and ceramic departments of Stuttgart Art School.

Exhibited in 1943 Young Art in the German Empire, Wien

1943 Great German Art Exhibition ‚43, Munich

1965 Honorary Member of the Art School Stuttgart, Germany.
